Ireland - North Coast Scenic Drive

A beautiful old stone bridge allows access to the estate through the tower gate (barbican) of Glenarm Castle. The castle was originally built in 1636. It is well known today for its walled garden and as an event venue. Unfortunately we arrived 10 minutes before closing time so no photos of the inside of the estate. The castle is rarely open to the public as it is Lord and Lady Dunluce's family home. We were pretty much 'castled-out' by now so didn't mind missing this one!
